With nearly 20 years of experience as an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist, Luke Simmering partners with leaders and organizations to translate complex human behavior into practical, data-driven strategies that drive performance, engagement, and growth. His work sits at the intersection of psychology, business strategy, and leadership development—helping organizations make better decisions about their people.
Luke has advised organizations across a wide range of industries on a global scale, from Fortune 50 companies to growing and mid-sized organizations navigating critical inflection points. His experience includes serving as an Organizational Effectiveness consultant within a Fortune 50 company, where he worked internally to drive large-scale talent and culture initiatives, as well as several years in corporate consulting as a Senior Talent Management Advisor. This dual perspective—both internal leadership roles and nearly a decade as an external consultant—gives him a unique ability to balance strategic perspective with real-world execution. He is known for his ability to quickly understand organizational dynamics, build trust with leaders, and deliver insights that are both analytically rigorous and highly actionable.
As the founder of Sand Creek Advisors, Luke specializes in executive coaching, leadership assessment, organizational diagnostics, and talent strategy. He is certified in a comprehensive range of psychometric assessments and is an active member of the Hogan Coaching Network, widely recognized as the gold standard in leadership assessment. He leverages a data-driven approach grounded in validated assessment tools and research-based methodologies, while also bringing a practical, human-centered lens to every engagement. His coaching style blends challenge and support—helping leaders increase self-awareness, navigate complexity, and lead more effectively in today's evolving workplace.
Luke holds a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Louisiana Tech University, a Master's degree from Minnesota State University, and a Bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University. He has been actively involved in leading professional organizations including SIOP, SHRM, APA, and FFI, and holds a certification in Family Business Advising as well as post-doctoral training in Bowen Family Systems Theory.
In addition to his consulting work, Luke has served as an adjunct faculty member teaching Business Analytics at the MBA level, reflecting his passion for developing others and bridging the gap between data and decision-making.
Outside of work, Luke enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, fishing, and taking advantage of the outdoors. He lives in Newton, Kansas with his wife, Morgan, and their two children, William and Clara.
